ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University baseball program will start its newest journey by facing some old friends as Head Coach Stanley Stubbs and a handful of Rust College transfers take on their former teammates led by MVSU alum John Bates.

  • Ranked top-25 in the NAIA for batting average (.423) and top-35 for doubles per game (0.387). Totaled 41 hits, 28 RBIs, 16 runs scored, 12 doubles, 8 walks, 3 homers and 2 triples with a slugging percentage of .680 while striking out just 12 times over 31 games at Rust. He also converted 5-of-6 stolen base attempts (83.3%).
