
STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State University softball program could not slow down one of the more powerful lineups in the NCAA as Mississippi State used four home runs to defeat MVSU, 8-0 in six.

- A small sample size but a rarity, all the hits by the Green and White went four extra bases as Sydney Wesley and Keisha White each bashed a double for their lone base knocks of the evening.
- Naomi Drake was the other Valley State student-athlete to get aboard, coaxing a walk out of Mississippi State starter Matalasi Faapito.
- Daisy Page threw 59.3% of her 59 pitches for strikes and was able to set down three Bulldogs batters via punchout.
Focus will now shift towards SWACtion as the Devilettes host Alabama A&M on Friday, March 11 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, March 12 for a doubleheader in its conference opening series.
