BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Mississippi Valley State University men’s basketball program has earned a SWAC weekly accolade for the second week in-a-row as Caleb Hunter pulled in his second award of the year for his huge weekend.

Son of Head Coach Lindsey Hunter, the Plymouth, Michigan played out of his mind in nearly every facet of the game with an average of 26.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists per contest while knocking down 47.5% of his shots plus a 37.5% conversion rate from long range.

The sophomore guard out of U of D Jesuit High School had the best game of his career to date on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, blowing up for a career-high 31 points and six three-pointers on 11-of-20 (55%) field goal attempts versus the Rattlers.

Hunter and the guys will next see the floor inside the Frederick C. Hobdy Center on the campus of Grambling State on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. tip.
