- Annya Moss had a workwoman-like affair, pounding home a gritty nine points with two blocks sent back the way they came.

- The Devilettes eviscerated the Lady Lions in the turnover department with a plus-eight margin (19-11) but was bitten by a negative-24 rebounding disadvantage (49-25).
Valley will get Monday off to rest before battling Jackson State (Saturday, 2 p.m.) and Alcorn (Monday, 5:30 p.m.) next weekend for Mississippi HBCU bragging rights.
